Meet Jennifer

I’m so glad you’re here.

Let me tell you a story. (This one’s free.)

In eighth grade, there was an English teacher at my middle school that everyone was afraid of. She was mean. A GPA-breaker. But she was the only teacher who taught creative writing. I took her class, earned an A, and fell in love with writing stories.

In 2015, I began writing my first novel. I couldn’t not write it. I had a story that kept tugging at me—about a woman standing at the edge of herself, caught between who she’d been taught to be and who she was becoming. It is funny and tender, but also complicated and morally tangled. A little reckless. Unapologetically sexy. A story about love, loyalty, consequences, and the small choices that can change the course of a life.

The kind of story that makes you pause, laugh, and recognize yourself all at once.

Maybe you already do.

Ten years later, my debut novel is finally here—and I can’t wait to share it with you.

If you read it, you’re going to get to know me. Not the website version. Not the social-media version. The version that lives beneath the surface. The one that doesn’t come out in quick catch-ups or even late-night heart-to-hearts. The one that only shows up on the page.

Thank you for being here. I hope you see yourself somewhere in these pages.

Truly,
Jennifer
